About Us

Prexus Health is a consulting firm specialized in the development and management of ambulatory surgery centers, surgical hospitals and imaging centers. We focus on the delivery of high quality, cost effective services.

Maintaining a competitive edge has become imperative in today's healthcare business scenario.

Those striving to survive in this rapidly changing marketplace must be proactive to the changes that occur. We want to change the way physicians think about running their ambulatory surgery centers, imaging centers, and surgical hospitals.

We are committed to working in partnership with physician owners to achieve great things in healthcare. Inspiration and innovation are the touchstones by which we measure our impact and contributions. And we have more than 40 years of combined public and private company experience to back those promises.

Corporate Strategy

Prexus Health’s vision is to remain a private company that is owned and controlled by physicians. We want to build a physician owned health care system which operates like a federation of states with local control and governance. Prexus creates community assets that add value to society. We want to provide the highest quality of care at a lowest cost to our patients and expand our network of centers to attain economies of scale and scope.

We have some cardinal business rules that are different from others

100% physician owned centers
Our centers are physician owned where physicians take control and accept personal financial risk to make sure that their centers facilities are patient-friendly and optimized for operational efficiency. Due to various reasons, including the uncertain regulatory environment, we want to preserve our options to integrate corporate businesses as part our private practices. Physician ownership makes that possible.

Community centers
Physicians’ offices are within close proximity of their center allowing physician to manage and practice at their facilities.

Multispecialty Facilities
All of our centers are multi-specialty. We want to provide services to physicians and patients alike and want these to be community centers without fragmenting our services based on specialty. The intent of the centers is to provide primary and secondary care; not specialty services available at specialized centers.

Open Model
We have an open model where any physician who can provide services at the center is able to invest and participate in control of the care they deliver.

Market segmentation
Our centers are no less than 12 miles apart. We want to make sure that we can service our patients and physicians at convenient locations. We want our services to be accessible.
